DT Media Wins Second Contract in Saudi Arabia May 2009
Devon software company DT Media has won a second contract with the Royal Saudi Navy in as many weeks
News of the deal, made in partnership with Rahaden Trading Est, comes just one week after the Royal Saudi Air Force bought into DT Media’s Electronic Warfare training solution (DEWET*).
DT Media will now also provide its Fleetman Naval Simulator, a 3D visualisation product, for the Royal Saudi Navy’s Technical Institute for Naval Studies (TINS) in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Totnes-based DT Media supplies off-the-shelf and bespoke simulation, training and cutting edge real-time 3D visualisation software products such as Fleetman and Insight, as well as fully integrated ‘turnkey’
simulation solutions, to clients across the world.
Chris Notman-Smith, International Sales & Marketing Manager for DT Media, said: “We are delighted to have won a second contract in Saudi Arabia in as many weeks with Rahaden Trading Est. This is further proof that DT Media has great products, with happy customers, and fantastic support from partners like Rahaden. We look forward to working with TINS and Rahaden in future and further business growth in Saudi Arabia.”
In April last year DT Media completed installation of its Communications Team Trainer at TINS. The Communications Trainer, which was developed from the Fleetman communications system, has been in use with the UK Royal Navy since 2006 and has added a new level of realism in voice and data communications training. Fleetman enables the running of simulation exercises using a mix of ships, submarines, helicopters and aircraft and has been in service with the UK Royal Navy Maritime Warfare Schools and waterfront learning centres since 2004.
