Insight Combat ID System

Insight is a family of innovative computer-based tools and relational databases that link to create a powerful Combat Identification (ID) system. In the core Insight program databases are provided for identifying Air, Land and Sea platforms and Orders Of Battle (OOB). The core program may be linked to additional databases including: Emitters, Weapons, Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and an Economic Exclusion Zone (EEZ) vessel tracking system. A key feature of Insight is the ease with which users may update the system, thereby ensuring they always have the latest unclassified or classified data.

In addition to its operational Combat ID application, the Insight family includes utilities that enable users to create and modify their own briefing material and Levels 1 and 2 computer-based training (CBT) lessons, thereby enabling users to train as they fight. When preparing briefings or training material users can extract data, graphics, animations, video and sound from the various Insight databases; CBT modules created using Insight may be linked to an existing or DT Media-supplied Management Information System.

Recognition experts from a major NATO Navy have described the training aspects of Insight as being “the best recognition trainer we have ever seen” . By creating a user-updateable database in any subject, Insight can be used by instructors to create their own interactive CBT modules. Insight is in service with a number of users worldwide

Insight may be supplied in English or any other language supported by Windows 2000 or XP Professional; an Arabic version of Insight is already available. For more information contact us.

Fleetman Naval Training System

Fleetman has been developed as a low-cost family of naval trainers for use in Officer of the Watch, Navigator, Yeoman, Flight Deck Officer and Action Speed Tactical Training. Fleetman functionality has far exceeded customers’ expectations and additional variants, including a naval EW trainer, are under development. Fleetman may be linked over a LAN or WAN to permit users at dispersed sites to be trained in a common scenario using Distributed Interactive Simulation techniques.

Fleetman has been in service with the Royal Navy at the Waterfront Learning Centre (WLC) in Her Majesty's Naval Base Devonport since February 2004, with further capability coming on line in HMS Collingwood from early September 2004 and at the Faslane and Portsmouth Naval Bases since early 2006. In January 2007 the Royal Navy of Oman took delivery of Fleetman for use at its Fleet Warfare School.

Fleetman may also be embedded in CBT modules to provide advanced training in the rule of the road for civilian and military mariners. For more information contact us.
